Harold Wales McAlister

Harold Wales McAlister, 59, of Ringgold, GA. passed away on February 24, 2023 in the comfort of his own home surrounded by his loved ones.

He was born on June 20, 1963 in Chattanooga, Tennessee. He attended the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, graduating with a degree in Bachelor of Science in Business Marketing and a minor in Finance. He worked many jobs where everyone admired his hard work and devotion.

He was a dedicated and loving friend, son, brother, husband, father, and grandfather to his family that will always remember him that way. He grew up loving sports, especially Motocross to which his father was his #1 fan. He also loved anything outdoorsy, adventurous, and fearless. Many, including himself, called him a “freak of nature”. There was never a time he didn’t have a witty sarcastic comment, funny joke, or crazy story to tell. He loved doing things his own way and lending a helping hand to anyone that needed it. His daughters always had his support as he never missed softball games, volleyball tournaments, graduations, or birthdays – including the birth of all three of his grandchildren. He will be missed greatly by so many, but his memories will live on forever.

He was preceded in death by his father Harry McAlister; mother Jeanne Murray and wife Stacy McAlister (mother of Maleah and Sydney).

Survivors include his recent wife, Kristina McAlister; daughters Madison (Jeremy) Garren, Maleah McAlister and Sydney McAlister; granddaughters Jossalyn McAlister, Ryleigh Garren and Taylor Garren; sisters Betsy Ray and Susan Thomas; along with several nieces, nephew and extended family.
