Judy W. Medford Obituary – Asheville Citizen-Times

Haywood Co.-Judy Whitaker Medford, 60, passed away on Saturday, May 6, 2023, at Mission Hospital. A native of Buncombe County, she was the daughter of Larry and Judy Darnell Whitaker of Fairview. She was preceded in death by her brother, Larry Michael Whitaker.

A graduate of A. C. Reynolds High School, Judy also graduated from UNC Greensboro with a Bachelors in business marketing. She was a marketing manager with Investor Title Insurance Company where she had worked for 30 years. She accepted Christ and was baptized at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. She enjoyed her children and spending time at the lake and the beach.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband of 29 years, Michael Medford; daughter, Chloe Medford of Canton; son, Eli Medford of Canton; brother, Tim Whitaker and his wife, Diane of Fairview and Judy’s dog, Hank.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm on Wednesday, May 10, 2023, at Rocky Face Baptist Church with the Reverend Donnie Henson and Reverend Scotty Patrick officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to Rocky Face Baptist Church, 1635 State Rd 1608, Canton, NC 28716.
